In 1950 the company started its operations with trading in G.C. sheet and hardware goods.

In 1955 the company started its first manufacturing unit of tin containers for pan masala, kanku and Mehendi; it was also into manufacturing of other household items like chachalni, tea stainers etc under the name “ Taherali Saifuddin & Co.”

In 1963 in order to diversify further the company added new products like steel trunk, Almirah, table and chairs along with other furniture.

In 1971 the company entered into manufacturing of plastic container, which reprocessed plastic granules also under the name “Amika Plastic Industries”.

In 1980 the company started manufacturing Huller screen; it was the first unit in entire Madhya Pradesh which started manufacturing of this item and supplied the same to other stated namely West Bengal, Orissa, Assam,Bihar and Chattisgarh area. In order to manufacture the Huller Screen the manufacturing machines and the fixture were developed at this unit itself under the name “Amika Screen Works”.

In 1983 the unit was diversified into manufacturing of various products like Daak sorting case for post office Almirah, tales and chair etc.

In 1985 the unit began manufacturing of solar devices, improved wood burning chulhas, domestic solar cooker of G.I sheet, Aluminium sheet & F.R.P body with modification under guidance of DNES, New Delhi. It was the first unit in the M.P which started manufacturing of solar devices.

In 1992 the company obtained license for manufacturing of Nutan kerosene wick stove from Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun and started manufacturing the same and emerged as one of the largest manufacturer of kerosene wick stove in Madhya Pradesh and supplying to all over India.

In 2004 the company again diversified into a different field, into the field of Electro plating keeping in mind the changing needs and demand of people. The company started doing Hard Chrome plating with state of art infrastructure and with all the equipments to check and maintain quality.
